Rebekah: Gospel Study 2025

Within the past year I was blessed with a kind invitation by Rachel Bliese to participate in a discipleship journey through the book of Galatians. The unique aspect of this study is that no matter the problem, issue or situation we may find ourselves in at any given moment, the answer is always rooted and grounded in the glory of the gospel. Period. In a constantly shifting and changing world, we all long for certainty, security and safety. All of those things can only be found in one Person, Jesus Christ. He is the Living Word and source of all true abundant life. Apart from Christ, we have nothing and are nothing. This is the foundation and epicenter of this study. Believing and living out these truths will always lead to an inner transformation that cannot be experienced in any other way.

As a leader, Rachel is a truly gifted and insightful. Through her willing example to be honest and vulnerable, she created a space for each of us women to feel seen, safe and valued. There were beautiful moments of prayer, worship, confession and silence. We were each given an opportunity to share our personal stories as well as offer love through silence, words of affirmation or gratitude. These practices cultivated and nurtured a level of trust and vulnerability that I had never experienced in any previous study and it was deeply life giving to witness and experience. There was a deep sense of sacred holiness of becoming more fully who we were meant to become by being in the presence of one another. The depth of the study through the book of Galatians along with an intimate circle of women to walk and practice with was an absolute gem and treasure for me in 2025.

It will always be the first and only Bible study I recommend because the Gospel of Christ is the only true Gospel that leads to rest and freedom. The more we behold something, the more we become like that thing. We become what we behold. Therefore, the more we behold and gaze at the glory of the gospel, the more like Christ we will become

“Since this new way gives us such confidence, we can be very bold. We are not like Moses, who put a veil over his face so the people of Israel would not see the glory, even though it was destined to fade away. But the people’s minds were hardened, and to this day when ever the old covenant is being read, the same veil covers their minds so they cannot understand the truth. And this veil can be removed only by believing in Christ. Yes, even today when they read Moses’ writings, their hearts are covered with that veil, and they do not understand. But whenever someone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. So, all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord-who is the Spirit- makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.”2 Corinthians 3:12-18
